Mr. Quarter Isn't Buying It!

Nope, not a word of it.  Early last week Susan Rice withdraws her name from consideration for Secretary of State, citing the Benghazi matter as simply attracting too much negative attention to her and creating distractions.   Hillary Clinton was scheduled to begin testimony today (Monday December 17) before a committee of the US Senate on what she knew about the Benghazi matter. Wouldn't you know it, about the same time that Susan Rice made her announcement, Hillary got a stomach ache (food poisoning - right!)  Then  a couple days later, Hillary fainted, fell down and went boom - got a concussion, although (surprise) it was only a "mild" one.  But (surprise again), she didn't go to a hospital and  doctors orders were to cancel all work for the next week.  Meanwhile, John Kerry being the gentlemen that he is, leaped to her aid and declared that she couldn't possibly be expected to testify in her condition. How gallant!.  Shortly afterward, word went forth from the White House aids that John Kerry will be nominated as Secretary of State.

Well, you can't piss down Mr. Quarter's back and tell him its raining.  Hillary, aided by Barry O's peeps and JFK, has rolled out the famous Clinton "Big Lie" that we have all seen in the past.  Remember the Rosewater law firm billing records that mysteriously appeared in the White House Living Quarters - Hillary had no recollection.  Remember  Travelgate - she had no recollections.  Remember Big Bill and "I didn't have sexual relations with that woman, Ms. Lewinski." So now the big  lie is used to keep her from going under oath and testifying on what really happend, how she made the call to keep Barry O from getting sunk in the election.  This lie is to preserve her chance at the presidency in 2016.  And the quid pro quo for JFK is Sec. of State, where he can bloviate and pontificate to his hearts content.

Who was it, Goebbels or Stalin that said the public will believe the Big Lie much quicker and easier that little lies?

Who wants to bet that Hillary never testifies before any committee of the House or Senate on Benghazi? Mr. Quarter wouldn't take that bet for anything.

Mr. Quarter Offers Congratulations

At times, something good does come along and Mr. Quarter feels that perhaps God does care on a small scale.  To my surprise, The Duce recently announced his betrothal ....to Mr. Quarter's sister!  The Duce has been one of my best friends for about 40 years, and I always felt him a brother.  But now I can actually call him "Bro" and know there is some truth to it.  My sister was married for over 20 years to a trailer trash creep who treated her like a piggy bank.  The Duce was married, long ago, to a witch that left him penniless after cleaning out the house and bank account in secret.  When most people are building careers and lives, Duce's full time gig was caring for his aged and ill parents. So after sacrifice  hardship, and misery they both found each other (again - another story) and created a new relationship and now a life together. I couldn't be more pleased!

Mr. Quarter Says "Riddle Me This?"

Well, riddle me this?  Four Americans get murdered in Benghazi and the media (with the exception of Fox News) barely says squat.  The FBI and Department of Justice have no interest at all in continuing drip, drip, drip of changing explanations and narrative of what actually happened.  Before that, ATF nitwits let several hundred (or is it thousand?) guns walk across the border and a US Border Patrol agent gets gunned down with one.  Where is the media outrage and the massive investigation by the authorities?  How about the New Black Panthers intimidating voters at a Philadelphia polling place - standing out front with clubs!  Did the media get fired up?  Did the Department of Justice prosecute?  Nope on all counts.

No, but just let General  David Petraeus have sex with a cute tart who obviously idolizes him.  Just let General John Allen exchange "inappropriate emails. " not explicit, not part of an extramarital affair, nothing more than calling her "sweetheart" and judged as unprofessional by some FBI geek.  Well, that got the media's attention, the attention of Congress, the FBI, the Department of Defense, and who knows who all else.  Now we have a real problem that needs official attention and punishment needs to be meted out. Is there any better example of how F....ed up we are?

By the way, both Petraeus and Allen are full generals (4 stars).  Now on to General Ward; just some kind of coincidence I suppose.  Also a full general, and head of the African area command. He is being demoted to three stars for "improper" expenditures while traveling.  Total tab is $81k - peanuts, especially if he submitted the receipts.  General Ward is vigorously opposing and objecting to the charges.  Doesn't it seem highly coincidental that three full generals are suddenly being taken down?

Mr. Quarter is speculating now, but he thinks this is all part of a massive cover-up by the Obamites in the White House and probably the President himself.  It has all the appearances of the "Chicago" anal rape (i.e., the payback if you mess with us).  Same identical pattern as Obama has used in the past to stick it to people that opposed him.  Remember that he won state representative office and US  senate office by 11th hour exposure of unseemly conduct by his opponents - nasty divorce proceedings, affairs, etc.  It appears that the White House is trying to intimidate and hush up the generals that could be instrumental in providing the inside story of what actually went down in Benghazi.  And there may be even more to it than that.

Petraeus knows what went down.  He was approached and told to lie or otherwise not testify before Congress. He was threatened.  The White House held a knife to his throat in the form of disclosure of his affair in exchange or favorable testimony before congress on Benghazi.  Did he decide that resignation was the best way to do what was best for the country -followed by  testimony voluntarily as a private citizen?  What is the connection to General Allen? Apparently General Allen knows something as well.

By the way, did you hear that Ambassador Susan Rice is being publicly considered for Secretary of State after Clinton leaves?  She who went on five Sunday morning political talk shows peddling the pure BS of how the Benghazi attach was spontaneous expression of displeasure with a YouTube video derogatory to Mohammad.  Think that might be a payoff for being a part of the cover-up?

The Ulsterman, in his blog, has featured dialog with a person identified as "Military Insider."  Military Insider has hinted at great dissatisfaction among senior leadership in the military and outright resentment of Obama.  Perhaps these three generals also share in common that they are among this ground and have great influence and respect among the military.  Perhaps the White House is conducting what is essentially a communist style purge of the military leadership - in the same style as Kim Jung Un.

Mr. Quarter believes that all of these events are not just coincidence (especially immediately after the election). There is much more here than it appears.  We are witnessing one of the biggest, most obvious and most public political cover-ups in the history of this Republic.   Remember, believe what your eyes see and what your gut tells you, not what the Obama White House and the main stream media tell you.  Your freedom depends on it.

The Deuce...Bread and Circuses

It's been three days since we all received our terminal diagnosis and I have refrained from commenting about it until now, hoping that a few days of thoughtful consideration would reveal a strategy I could cling to that had a chance to raise the dead...but I have failed. So, I think, have all the champions of conservatism that have spent the last two days pontificating on the reasons Obama won a second term and what Republicans can do about it in both the near and far term. Their words ring hollow to me, and I believe they are just whistling past the graveyard, unable to accept the paradigm shift that took place in America on November 6, 2012.

‘Bread and Circuses’ is the cancer of democracy, the fatal disease for which there is no cure. Democracy often works beautifully at first. But once a state extends the franchise to every warm body, be he producer or parasite, that day marks the beginning of the end of the state. For when the plebs discover that they can vote themselves bread and circuses without limit and that the productive members of the body politic cannot stop them, they will do so, until the state bleeds to death, or in its weakened condition the state succumbs to an invader—the barbarians enter Rome.”

                                                       Robert Heinlein

Those of us who opposed Obama in 2008 thought his election was the result of Bush exhaustion, never-ending war in the Middle East, the disastrous economic downturn just before the election, a complicit liberal media, a weak Republican candidate and the desire of many to make history by electing the first black president. While all of those reasons seem to have been true to varying degrees, they hid the underlying, fundamental reason Obama won in 2008...and with the election three days ago, that reason was finally exposed for all to see, whether they accept it or not.

America now has more people dependent upon government for their very existence than it has people who are not, and they will believe anything, vote for any candidate and support any policy or legislation that ensures and enriches their existence.

The "safety net" that began with Social Security some seventy years ago has expanded and morphed into Liberation Democracy...the duty of government to liberate the "oppressed" from whatever and whoever "oppresses" them. And in America  the oppressed suffer at the hands of us who believe in liberty of thought and expression, capitalism, faith, self-reliance, self-restraint, charity and honor. In other words, conservatives.

In today's America conservatism is mocked and ridiculed as the way of the Old White Man...racist, homophobic, misogynist, greedy and cruel. And it's dead. All hail the New American Way!

Both God and Uncle Sam have been replaced by Almighty Sugar Daddy.

Worst of all, four more years of Obama and Liberation Democracy will have so infected America that there can be no coming back. America has finally gone over the proverbial "cliff" and we're all now in free fall...and the landing will be fatal to the former Land of the Free and Home of the Brave, for we are neither any longer.

Conservatism and the traditional way of life will survive in scattered enclaves for awhile. Pockets of like-minded people here and there will continue to send conservatives to Washington and some State Houses, but they will be grossly outnumbered and in the long term will be ineffectual at the national level. We will do what we can, knowing that like the famed 300 Spartans, we are ultimately doomed to fail.

Empty the National Archives of all the founding documents. Take the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, the combined works of Washington, Adams, Madison, Franklin, Hamilton and Jefferson, and bury them deep under the Rockies. Perhaps they will be discovered centuries from now by some future generation of people longing to be free. America has little use for them now.

Love your family and friends. Enjoy your life as best you can. Continue to live your values. Pray.

Godspeed.

Everything That Needs To Be Said.

Mr. Quarter read this opinion and wants to share as it truly expresses his own feelings and opinions better then he could himself.  This article is partially excerpted from a post by Dean Kalahar on Real Clear Markets this morning:

Today the foundational pillars of civilization that have sustained America have been voted insignificant and will be allowed to collapse. The result is a New America for sure, but it is not a greater America. It is an America that has sown the seeds of its own demise, blinded by self inflicted wounds, disguised by false compassion, and based on trust in a human condition that is not in our nature.
A callous society focused on self has been defining deviancy downward, as the late Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan warned us, for a long time. Sometimes covertly and other times overtly, a cultural war was being raged in America by a progressive "tolerance" movement that is intolerant of institutional traditions, principles, and laws that were created and tested over thousands of years of trial and error. Those who have lectured us have shown a condescending hypocrisy of moral relativism towards any concept that might interfere with their self-anointed sensibilities of creating a utopia so as to avoid self awareness. The walls of the republic have been crumbling for some time. Now the collapse is all but inevitable because, and let's be clear, they have won.
America's religious institution has been eroded by the secularization of society, the welfare state, the misguided belief in the separation of church and state, and attacks toward any outward expression of religious passion. The church has lost the culture war.
Our public education institution has been decimated by bureaucracies and unions that have failed to teach children how to read, write, or add, while choice, accountability, rigor, and our nation's history have been forsaken for self esteem and multiculturalism. The schools have lost the culture war.
Our family institution has been redefined into a bizarre amalgam of gender, sexual, and parental proclivities. 40% of children are born out of wedlock and 25% of teenagers have a sexually transmitted disease. The overt-sexualization of our society has created confusion and despair among our children, while infanticide has become an all too easy choice. Biological and psychological realities for sanctioning marriage between a man and woman for the sake of our posterity have been ruthlessly attacked by those seeking to re-define the universal order. Our families have lost the culture war.
Free market entrepreneurial principles no longer guide our economic system.  Efficiencies, life saving economic growth and opportunity based on the laws of human nature and scarcity have been forsaken by an ever encroaching government institution that believes a command and control approach of central planning can better answer the questions of what, how, and for whom. Our economic system has lost the culture war.
The winners of this battle have handed over America's keys to the government. A government that no longer sees its role as providing for the steady rule of constitutional law and unwavering protection of the basis of morality found in the steadfast protection of personal property. The New America government will direct the collapses of what they deem are antiquated institutions of society like life, liberty, and property. They will smugly orchestrate the demise of the bedrock principles that sustained our family, education, religious, and economic institutions that have held us together and allowed us to thrive as a country; naively believing a nation can sustain itself after its foundations are removed.
Progressive ideology has destroyed the social fabric of the nation from within. Ignorance has sown the seeds of our own destruction. As the Romans did long ago, our fate will be written in the epilogue of history. Gone, a nation whose torch was smothered when a complacent arrogance forgot who they were, what made them great, and the humility to stand vigilant in defending liberty was lost.
There is no upside for America or its people; and it is going to get ugly out there. But for those who have been fighting the good fight for so long, honoring those who have died fighting for the same providential cause, my suggestion is to pull in, relax, live, and love your families. The New America is the reality; just have peace of mind knowing the winners of the war, and the choices they made, will be held personally responsible for the severe costs that are to follow.

Media Corruption

Mr. Quarter is reporting this as it was presented on the Breitbard website this morning.

"CBS unveiled additional footage from its 60 Minutes interview with President Obama, conducted on Sept. 12 immediately after Obama had made his statement about the attacks in the Rose Garden, in which Obama quite clearly refuses to call the Benghazi an act of terror when asked a direct question by reporter Steve Kroft:
KROFT: Mr. President, this morning you went out of your way to avoid the use of the word terrorism in connection with the Libya Attack, do you believe that this was a terrorism attack?
OBAMA: Well it’s too early to tell exactly how this came about, what group was involved, but obviously it was an attack on Americans.  And we are going to be working with the Libyan government to make sure that we bring these folks to justice, one way or the other.
CBS News held onto this footage for more than six weeks, failing to release it even when questions were raised during the Second Presidential Debate as to whether Obama had, in fact, referred to the Benghazi attack as an act of terror before blaming it falsely on demonstrations against an anti-Islamic video."

Nothing less than journalistic malpractice and a completely corrupt attempt to assist the Obama campaign by concealing Obama's duplicity until it could not impact the election.

Mr. Quarter's Early Warning of Obama's October Surprise

Read this nugget this AM courtesy of The Ulsterman:

Insider information says that "military intelligence may have tracked location of a guy called “Khattalah” who apparently organized the Benghazi attack.  Obama to order drone strikes or possible all out bombing operation."  The Insider says that it appears imminent.  The Insider says that "Obama will then make claim “perpetrators brought to justice” to squash Benghazi questions and play part of hero.  “Bin Laden Version 2 “ "

Some speculate that the earlier incident in Benghazi was planned as an October surprise rescue operation scenario that went south.

Stay tuned.

Mr. Quarter Admires An Elegant Trap

An elegant trap indeed.  Let's begin with a review of  some relevant factoids of the Bengahzi attack:

  • The attack occurs, apparently the third attack on this station in the past several months.  President Obama immediately declares that it was the result of a spontaneous demonstration over a video, indicates his regret that anyone would profane the Prophet while exercising their right to free speech, then winds up with a global statement that acts of terror and violence will not go unpunished.
  • Obama visits two TV interview shows within the next 4 days and repeats that the attack was the result of a spontaneous demonstration over a video.
  • Obama's ambassador to the United Nations (Susan Rice) makes the rounds of the Sunday talk shows the following Sunday and repeatedly asserts that the attack was the result of a spontaneous demonstration over a video - In her words, "our best information.".
  • Two weeks later the story starts to leak out from Department of State and CIA that, well, that wasn't exactly right. During congressional hearings on the matter, two State Department officials state under oath that it was a planned Al Qaeda attack.
  • On October 11, Vice President Joe Biden asserts with great vigor, again it was spontaneous and no one ever asked for more security help - "it was what we were told" and, "we were never informed."

So the stage is set.

Meanwhile Bill Clinton is out on the hustings, doing what the Democratic Party expects if he wants their support for Hillary in 2016.  But after VP Joe blabbed to 60 million viewers that State must have dropped the ball, apparently Bill thought it was time to cut the losses and drop Barry down the pipe.  So I imagine that  he and Hillary huddled and came up with the most elegant trap of all time.  Hillary, in the mature adult statesmanlike manner will step up to the microphone, the day before the 2nd presidential debate and one week before the final debate dedicated to foreign policy, and announce that enough is enough because the buck stops with her!. Media stories abound on her falling on the sword for Obama.  She is a hero.

And what of poor Barry?  He had to step in it and then on to a debate with his fly undone.  Bill/Hillary left him with a perfect no win  situation.  If he doesn't now step up, leaving the "buck" so to speak with her, then he looks like a leader that isn't willing to take responsibility and will throw very senior people under the bus to save his own skin.  Bad within the Party and really bad optics for the public to see.   On the other hand, if he takes responsibility, the entire affair then falls on him including all the appearances of a cover up.  Bad optics for the public.  Got to hand it to the Clintons, they really came up with a sweet, sweet response that sinks Barry no matter where he goes and got Hillary next to sainthood status.

The Deuce and Perfection

My mother was a perfectionist, my dad slightly less so. You'd think that being an only child I'd grow up to be a perfectionist too. Didn't happen. Maybe perfectionism skips generations, or maybe I consciencely rebelled against my parents perfectionism...or maybe I learned, as some wit once said, that 'perfection is rarely worth the effort.'

I'm a practical guy. For me, "good enough is good enough." If it works, if it accomplishes what I want, then it's all that is required and I'm free to move on to the next task, trading unreachable perfection for saving time, effort and resources. Certainly some things need to be closer to perfection than others. If I over cook my steak, it's still pretty tasty and 'perfectly edible.' If I undershoot my approach to the carrier while attempting to land my F-18 Hornet I'll be dead. Neither cooking my supper or landing my Hornet has to be perfect, but the approximation to perfection in the Hornet has to be much closer.

I am not arguing that improvement is undersirable or unobtainable. What I am arguing is that there comes a point in any endeavor when continuing to seek improvement becomes counter productive.

So what, you say?

Well, it turns out that seeking perfection as a society leads to some very destructive behavior.

"Perfection spawns doctrines, dictators and totalitarian ideas."
                         Antonio Tabucchi

Understanding this, the authors of the U.S. constitution devised a system of government that was designed not to seek societal perfection (as one could argue the French revolution did), but instead to maximize individual liberty thereby enabling Americans to enjoy their liberty by pursuing happiness in their own ways through voluntary associations with each other and the peoples of other nations, whether by free trade or travel or the exchange of ideas.

Americans have embraced this view, to varying degrees, throughout most of our history as a nation. World history, life experience and common sense proved to most Americans that people will never be the same, or 'equal', and that attempts to force them to be are at best ridiculous and at worst destructive. Some people will be more successful at finding happiness than others. The best that can be expected is to make the laws of the land equally applicable to all, ensuring as best as is humanly possible that the opportunity to find happiness is open to all.

Communism, socialism and fascism are attempts to reach societal perfection by making everyone the same, or equal. If everyone is the same, the theories go, then there is no competition and hence no conflict.  If everyone is the same then there are no rich or poor, no oppressors or oppressed, no majorities or minorities. No religious differences, no competing economic plans, the same amount and quality of education, health care and housing. No one is better or worse than anyone else. Equality. Closer to perfection.

But not even Americans are free from the delusion that what is simply good can be made perfect. There have been several waves of 'progressivism' designed to bring America closer to societal perfection. FDR's New Deal was arguably the largest and most pervasive...until now.

The election of President Obama and the last four years of his administration are the latest, and I would argue the most damaging, of all attempts to make us all 'equal'. Not just equal with each other but also as a nation equal to all other nations. Wealth is redistributed, health care is socialized, the military is reduced, NASA is crippled, GM and Chrysler are nationalized to save the United Auto Workers union, international terrorists are appeased, foreign aid continues to flow despite what would be massive budget deficits if we had a national budget (the last federal budget having been passed in April, 2009), 49% of Americans don't pay any federal income tax, racial strife is increasing, government employees earn more than their private sector counterparts, more Americans are receiving food stamps than ever before and the unemployment rate has been over 8% for longer than at any other time in American history.

Not all of these ills can be laid at the feet of Obama, but many can be and those that can't have been made even worse by the President's disdain for free market capitalism, his seeming desire to see the U.S. 'humbled' in the international community and his delusional desire to 'perfect' America.

"Good enough is good enough" most often equates to "As good as it's gonna get."

Unlike my own parents, I  learned early on the difference between the obtainable good and the unobtainable perfection. Communists, socialist and facists need to learn the difference. A large number of Americans do too.

The Deuce and the "Arab Spring"

The good and just Arab Spring, over flowing with democracy and diversity and religious tolerance (unless you're an infidel or a woman), yesterday produced it's first poisonous fruit when four U.S. diplomats at the American consulate in Benghazi, Libya, were murdered either by a mob of Muslim tards or a coordinated attack by Al-Qaeda assassins, depending upon the media outlet reporting the news and the current state of intel America has been able to acquire regarding the killing.

As a relatively minor side-show Muslims in Cairo, Egypt, stormed the U.S. embassy compound, tore down the American flag and ripped it to pieces, and replaced it with a flag associated with Al-Qaeda while chanting, "Obama...we are all Osama!"

And to think president Obama supported the Arab Spring, and even went so far as to help the Libyan rebels by firing somewhere between 50 and 100 cruise missiles at Libyan government military installations during the revolt (against my advice I might add...see previous post The Deuce Effects U.S. Foreign Policy!).

According to Fox News, America has given away $150 billion dollars to middle eastern countries in the last 20 years, calling it "foreign aid". A great deal of that taxpayer money went to Libya and especially Egypt. As of now that foreign aid continues to grease the skids of democracy in the Muslim world and enable them to enjoy their free time by exercising their sharia right to kill infidels.

So far, the Obama administration's reaction to the murders in Benghazi is the predictable "Man, that really sucks" and "Rev. Wright says it's probably our fault" and "My administration will work with the Libyan government to make sure we bring these poor, misguided and under-appreciated future Democrats to justice just like we're doing with Army Major Hassan, the Ft. Hood traitor who murdered 13 fellow soldiers OVER TWO YEARS AGO and has still not been brought to trial 'cause he's got this beard see and the judge said he had to shave it for his court martial but Hassan doesn't want to and the appeals court hasn't ruled yet on whether or not Hassan can be forcibly shaved and there are just so many religious freedom issues and THIS IS ALL REALLY REALLY HARD!"

Who knew the Arab Spring wouldn't be full of butterflies and song-birds and cuddly little lambs prancing in the oasis?

Anybody with a brain.

Mr. Quarter is Thankful

This quote from Barry Obama during an interview this week with Time magazine:

"Where Republicans refuse to cooperate on things that I know are good for the American people, I will continue to look for ways to do it administratively and work around Congress."

Frankly, i am so thankful that Barry knows what is good for us and that he doesn't have to fuss with checking with us or our elected representatives before he imposes it upon us.  We have to defeat this man.

Joe Biden is Mr. Quarter's Hero

From today's Wall Street Journal:

Joe Biden is going to the Republican National Convention to hold high the flag of his party. People make fun of his gaffes, of his embarrassing verbal forays, but he's no fool and he knows how to take it to the other guy. The speech he is working on, to be given in the heart of downtown, just across from the convention site, will be stirring and stentorian: "All free men, wherever they may live, are citizens of Tampa, and, therefore, as a free man, I take pride in the words, 'Ich bin ein Tampon.'"

How true.

Mr. Quarter Holds Forth on Fairness and Inequality

For the life of me I cannot understand the political scene today and how the voters come to form opinions. The worst economy in my lifetime was in the period 1978-1980, the Carter years. The real cost of living was extraordinary, gas prices through the roof, interest rates and inflation in double digits. But it was over quickly too. Reagan hit the brakes, pushed us into recession and we were recovering in a matter of a year or so. But today’s dismal economic conditions just seem to keep going down and down with no real promise of an end in sight. This president doesn’t know how to fix it and, if he were candid with the electorate, doesn’t want to fix it because it provides a once in a lifetime opportunity to fundamentally transform America in his own vision.

If ever there was a clear signaling of someone’s ideology and intent, of their over-arching philosophy of the social construct, Barack Obama’s has certainly been writ large. He has explicitly proclaimed in unambiguous language that he thinks it is better to spread wealth around. His clear meaning was to take wealth from those that have it and re-distribute it to those that don’t have wealth. He has further signaled his intentions by attacking the very notion that you cannot be wealthy or successful in this country without blame or sin. Just yesterday he again posed (borrowing from Cherokee Elizabeth Warren) that no one that is wealthy or successful today got that way by their hard work and ingenuity. No, Obama claims that somewhere along the way someone had gave you a break, taught you something, or government paved the roads, laid the water pipes, or otherwise helped you. His intended implication was that as a result anyone that is wealthy or successful doesn’t actually deserve to keep that wealth and success to themselves and should therefore share it with those in the country that are not wealthy or successful.

What springs from this perverted view? Obamacare. The foundational notions that none can be turned away regardless of pre-existing conditions and mandatory coverage by all is now reduced by Supreme Court decision to insurance companies going bankrupt because they have to provide coverage without regard to risk, while no one has to buy unless they are actually sick. Penalty/tax? Pay it, it’s less than the premium until you need the insurance. Net effect, take from the insurance companies until they are bankrupt, take from the young and healthy until they are enslaved, and give to everyone else.

What springs from this perverted view? That you can have too much. Barack Obama and others sharing his views will decide how much you really need or are entitled to have. If you have a combined income of greater than $250,000 you are a millionaire in their eyes. You are not paying your fair share of taxes and should pay more. If you are paying taxes at a rate that was lowered like everyone else’s, you are not paying your fair share of taxes and should pay more. If you don’t pay any income tax at all? Well, you already pay your fair share because you also pay a wage tax.

I have read two articles in the last two days on fairness and equality that sicken me. The first expounded on the inequality of income between two “classes” of people. The first a single mother with children, the second a married mother with children. One income versus two combined incomes. The unfairness and injustice of this inequality was the focus. The take away was that we should make laws so that a single mother makes the same income as two people combined, or that we should take from the two people combined so that they made no more than the single mother. Sounds familiar – to each according to their needs? The second article concerned the unfairness of income inequality between a person who spends the time, money and effort to obtain a college degree and one who drops out of high school. Again, sounds familiar – from each according to their means. The thesis of each of these commentaries was essentially that as human beings, we are entitled by right to have parity with each other economically and that we have no right to excel and reap the rewards of higher levels of effort, higher levels of achievement, and higher levels of risk taking.

I feel helpless because so much of what ails this country and the solution is right in front of our faces. Straight forward commonsense, not liberal elite pedantries but old school and no nonsense. No one seems to have the fortitude to point it out. No one has the courage to step up and say that equality of outcome was never a part of the bargain. Fairness is subjective and exists only in the eye of the person being judged. If you have what you want it is fair but if you are still wanting then it is unfair. There is no objective standard of fairness that will satisfy all. Most importantly, this republic stands for the proposition that all have the same opportunity to succeed or to fail. It is up to each of us to step up and make what we can of that opportunity and stop claiming victimhood if we fail to reach the goal that we set for ourselves. The world is filled with losers and wannabees and is getting more crowded. So we are all individually responsible for our own path in life and we will all rise to the level that God intended for us to reach, and the sole reason any of us fail is lack of ambition, effort, or luck. It is not nor has it ever been for lack of opportunity.

Criminal?

Mr. Quarter notes that Obama campaign's attempt to paint Mr. Romney as a "felon" even though major newspapers and fact check organizations nationally decry the claim as bunk.  So, lets review.  Barack Obama has confessed to using and dealing in marijuana and cocaine in his "autobiography" books.  But he is not a felon?  Give me a f-ing break!

The Deuce and Making Shit Up

The Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) descended into a farcical hell last Thursday and dragged all of us with it when it ruled that The Affordable Health Care Act ( Obamacare ) was constitutional. For the first time in the history of the United States, citizens can now be taxed for simply being alive... and doing nothing but breathe.

Tax evasion is a crime; tax avoidance is as American as blood sports, muscle cars and moonshine. You can avoid any tax conceived by any government simply by not doing whatever is being taxed, or, if you're feeling froggy, you can devise shell corporations, off-shore numbered bank accounts and lie your ass off. However, if you don't have health insurance, for whatever reason, the only way to avoid the Obamacare individual mandate tax/penalty/assfuck is to renounce your U.S. citizenship and move to Ohshitistan...or croak. If you're drawing breath, you have to have insurance or shell out $800 to the I.R.S. Doesn't matter how rich you are (self insured), or how poor you are, it's pay the man, bitches! However, minorities, single moms, illegal aliens and members of the LGBT community can expect generous government subsidies to help pay for the insurance and avoid being unfairly taxed/penalized/associated with lesser, unprotected individuals, as if they were evil white men.

Adding insult to injury, the "logic" used by SCOTUS to find in favor of the government was so twisted, convoluted and tortured it would have made the most shameless pol who ever lived, Nancy Pelosi, proud to have thought of it. Though the law never calls the individual mandate requirement a tax in it's entire 2400 pages, and the government's Solicitor General argued on the first day of oral arguments that the mandate was not a tax, SCOTUS ultimately said, "Well, regardless of what the actual law says, what congressional leaders and President Obama say, we find it to be a tax, not a penalty, as every government agent has said it is, and therefore it is constitutional."

SCOTUS in fact didn't rule on the constitutionality of the law...it made up it's own law! The law SCOTUS ruled on doesn't exist...but the court wanted to find in favor of the law so it, well, it just made some shit up. Don't they know that making shit up is the job of the President and Congress and not the court? SCOTUS's entire reason for existing is to call "BULLSHIT" when it hears it, not to applaud the government's (or anyone else's) chutzpa for making up some seriously righteous B.S. and reward them for it by affirming the law?

Come on man! Justices are appointed for life. They can't be fired and are not subject to elections or recall. Their gig is for life...they're untouchable! That's the whole point. They get those perks so they can stand above and apart from partisan politics and hence are absolutely free to TELL IT LIKE IT IS without fear of any type of reprisal. In this case proponents of the law, backed by the MSM, deemed that to rule the law unconstitutional would mean "depriving 30 million Americans of health insurance". So, the Court decided that the facts of the case were so mean spirited and hard-hearted that the truth just wouldn't do, and so they just said, "Fuck it. We'll make some shit up and then everyone that matters will love us, we'll keep getting invited to all the cool kid's parties, and we'll go down in history as some righteous dudes."

The government had argued that the commerce clause of the constitution gave them the authority to enact the law; but the commerce clause says the government can REGULATE interstate commerce, not that it can DEMAND individuals participate in interstate commerce. Since the court couldn't find in the government's favor with a straight face using the commerce clause as the government had argued, it, well, made some shit up.

Prior to the court's decision being announced, most court watchers and commentators thought that at least the individual mandate would be voted down even if the rest of the law passed muster. The theory was that that the Court's four leftist commie bitches (Sotomayor, Kagan, Bader-Ginsburg and Bryer) would vote in favor of upholding the law, but would be overuled by the Court's four conservative champions of  truth, justice and the American Way (Scalia, Thomas, Alito and Roberts) plus the pivotal swing vote of the fence-sitting pussy Kennedy.

But it was not to be. The God's of clusterfuck deemed that Chief Justice Roberts would cave to presidential, congressional and media pressure, and in order to 'save the reputation of the court' and his own legacy would vote with the Four Commies of the Courtpocalypse  and...wait for it...MAKE SOME SHIT UP!

The entire farce is worthy of Shakespeare.

The Deuce and the D-Bags

D-Bags. We all know them...we all hate them. For your consideration I give you my top ten list of the biggest, most aggravating, most nauseating D-Bags currently infecting our society.
The metrics to qualify are: Influence on the American culture; Power to exert that influence; Money to spread that influence; utter stupidity, arrogance, hypocrisy and greed; the ability to elicit extreme nausea just by being seen or heard.

    Drum roll....

    NUMBER 10: Debbi Wasserman-Schultz, (D-FL)

Currently the chair of the Democratic National Committee and Congress critter from Florida's 20th district, Ms. Hyphen makes her Broward County (Ft. Lauderdale and Miami Beach) constituents proud by supporting every far-left hallucination imaginable and at the same time insulting everyone who dares to disagree with her. She's Pro-Choice, pro Palestinian, pro LGBT, a climate change-monger, calls the Tea Party racists, is pro-union and believes a crime committed out of hate is worse than the same crime committed absent hate (cause some people are just special don't you know).

    NUMBER 9: Bill Maher

Yes, it's the pasty, doughy vegan who says Christianity is a 'fairy tale' and called Sarah Palin a cunt. The host of HBO's Real Time makes a living mocking faith, conservatives, the second amendment, Catholics and the military. Most obnoxiously, Maher acts like he believes he's the smartest man in America, but I doubt if he's got the technical acumen to change the battery in his vibrating butt-plug.

    NUMBER 8: Michael Bloomberg

The teeny-meany multi-millionaire Mayor of New York is among the country's worst buttinskys. Can't smoke in New York unless you're inside a four-alarm fire; can't eat sugar within 1000 feet of any school or day care center; can't use coconut oil to pop your popcorn unless you're a Muslim inside a mosque, in which case you can do anything; you can't own a gun in New York; can't donate food to homeless shelters 'cause the city inspectors haven't measured the salt, fat or sugar content. Bloomberg is to the health-nazis what Al Gore is to the climate-nazis. If not for his millions he would be a lunch room monitor at the Manhattan School for Pussies.

    NUMBER 7: Al Sharpton

Circles the country like a vulture looking for the next racial incident he can feed on. Made famous by such sordid events as the Tawana Brawley affair, the Crown Heights riot of 1991, and a 1995 arson attack on a Jewish Harlem jeweler that led to 8 deaths. Most currently he's been scavenging on the Trayvon Martin case. Neighbors report seeing Sharpton feeding on road kill near his home.

    NUMBER 6: Al Gore

Since losing the 2000 presidential election to Bush II, the former Vice President has gotten filthy rich jetting around the world telling everyone the sky is falling. Undefeated heavyweight champion of man-made global warming climate change, Gore has spent the last 12 years scaring the bajeezus out of small children and fools by making movies about polar bears drowning and glaciers melting, and demanding that Americans reduce the size of their 'carbon footprint'...all the while consuming more energy and pumping more carbon into the atmosphere with his jets, limo caravans and mansions than the entire country of Afghanistan.

    NUMBER 5: Nancy Pelosi

"We must pass this bill to see what's in it", referring to Obamacare. Still the most moronic excuse for statecraft to ever be uttered in the House of Representatives. Caught lying about when she knew detainees at Gitmo were being water boarded. Tried to manufacture a racial incident by marching through Tea Party protestors arm in arm with Black members of Congress to deliver the Obamacare legislation to the Senate, attempting to equate Obamacare with the Civil Rights Movement. When no incident occurred, had Black members make one up, saying they had been spit upon. Despite numerous videos of the 'march', no evidence of any spitting was ever seen and a $10,000 reward for proof of the spitting went forever unclaimed. The queen of botox and hypocrisy.

    NUMBER 4: Eric Holder

The Attorney General has made a mockery of the law by failing to prosecute the New Black Panthers for their voter intimidation; trying to cover up his role in the Fast and Furious scandal that resulted in at least one U.S. Border Patrol agent being murdered by Mexican drug lords using weapons the ATF allowed to be illegally transported into Mexico; described the American people as cowards for not having a national discussion on racism; is suing numerous states for their attempts to stop illegal immigration. And now, Holder has instructed the DOJ to 'review' the so-called 'Stand Your Ground' laws in Florida and other states after the shooting of Trayvon Martin by a man simply trying to defend himself from attack. This guy is racist excrement and the commie version of Jim Crow.

    NUMBER 3: Harry Reid (D-NV)

The Senate Majority Leader, Harry more than any other politician I can think of is the best argument for forced retirement or term limits. It's not just that he's as big a commie as Obama or Pelosi or Marx, it's his entire personae, or lack thereof. He has the leadership skills of a loogie. Drier than the Nevada desert he comes from,  his speeches on the Senate floor have all the passion of a tumbleweed and display the intellect of a dung beetle.

    NUMBER 2: Barack Obama

Surprise. You thought he'd be number one, didn't you. The first Communist ever elected to the presidency. You all know his politics. You all know the people he hangs out with. He's the second biggest mistake America has ever made, slavery being the worst. His work towards a communist distopia has done more damage to the U.S. than any enemy, foreign or domestic. His presidency is a nightmare Americans can not wake up from, and may very well not survive if God abandons us and Obama somehow gets a second term.

    NUMBER 1: George Soros

This is the money man for the far left.  The Center for Responsive Politics reported that during the 2003–2004 election cycle, Soros donated $23,581,000 to various groups dedicated to defeating President Bush. This quote sums up his ideology nicely: "The main obstacle to a stable and just world order is the United States." Obama clearly shares this view. Soros writes the checks, Obama dictates the Soros law.

    DISHONORABLE MENTION:

    Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader-Ginsburg
    Uber-Homosexual Dan Savage
    Actor Alec Baldwin
    Uber-Lesbian Rosie O'Donnel
    The entire ACLU
    Talking head Keith Olberman
    Actor Sean Penn

Feel free to offer your own candidates in the comments.

    The Deuce and Surprise

Trayvon Martin is dead because he attacked the wrong man.

Not because he was black, at least not directly; not because he was profiled; not because guns kill people; not because George Zimmerman was looking to kill someone that night; not because of Florida's 'Stand Your Ground' law. He's dead because he attacked and assaulted a man who was armed and prepared to defend himself.

The question is why did Martin attack? Despite the tortured and misleading language so much of the MSM has used describing Zimmerman as 'persuing' Martin, when in fact Zimmerman was simply following and observing Martin waiting for the police to arrive as neighborhood watch members routinely do, and that Zimmerman did not confront Martin as has been reported but that in fact it was Martin who approached Zimmerman while Zimmerman was still seated in his vehicle; it was Martin who initiated the confrontation that resulted in his own death...and has a man guilty of nothing more than defending himself facing second degree murder charges and a possible life sentence if convicted.

No one knows for sure the decision making process Trayvon went through that night that led him to his death, but there are clues, both personal to him and to urban Black teenagers in general.

First, Trayvon was no stranger to trouble. He had multiple school suspensions from his North Miami high school for offenses including evidence of drug possession (pot), possession of burglary tools and 'tagging' school property. In fact, the only reason Trayvon was in Sanford the night he died is because he had been suspended from school for ten days for "being in an unauthorized area." Why he was suspended for such a long period for what seems a relatively minor infraction has gone unexplained.

Secondly, Trayvon's MySpace and Twitter accounts offer more insight into his personality. Photos Trayvon posted of himself in his MySpace account show a black teenager with a gold 'grill' and tats...all at age 17. His Twitter name was @NO_LIMIT_NIGGA. Written communications and photos shared between him and his online friends show gang signs and references to buying 'plant', leading to the conclusion that Trayvon may have been known to sell pot.

Trayvon was not a convicted felon nor has any arrest record been made public, though if he had been arrested juvenile records usually remain sealed and would not be public knowledge unless leaked.

In short, Trayvon was not a gangster...but it appears he was a wanna-be gangster, caught up in the oh so common urban Black mythology of gangs, dope, street cred and disrespect of authority. It's this mentality that leads a 17 year old kid to believe he can confront a grown man and assault him.

And why not? Surely Trayvon was aware of the flash mobs of Black teenagers that had targeted Whites and brazenly attacked and often robbed them in cities across the country last summer. Surely Trayvon was aware of the flash mobs of Black teenagers descending on retail outlets and looting the stores in broad daylight. Surely Trayvon was aware of the 'knockout game', where Blacks, usually teenagers, walk up to an innocent and unsuspecting person, usually White, and attempt to knock them out with one punch...so they can post the video on YouTube and brag to their friends how they 'tought that cracka a lesson.'

Surely a NO LIMIT NIGGA could handle one lone man who was not Black, was smaller than him and who lived in a nice gated community where people don't live by the laws of the 'hood.'

    Surprise!

    The Deuce Is Too Aware

I'm exhausted, and my health is failing because of it.

I can't go a day without some do-gooder demanding my attention so they can raise my awareness about the cause they care so much about. I just have to care as much as they do, and if I don't well then I'm just scum and don't deserve to live.

I'm barraged by nagging women (why is it always women?) to help (give money) cure breast cancer; prevent eating disorders; rescue unwanted doggies and kittys; help feed those poor Filipino kids living in that giant garbage dump; shut down puppy mills; stop climate change (by having a lifestyle of a Medieval peasant who happens to drive a Chevy Volt); adopt a member of the GLBT community; support Planned Parenthood and finance some chick's birth control/abortion; help stop discrimination against Muslims, just convert or die.

My awareness has reached it's maximum possible elevation. Any higher and the air is so thin I can't breathe. I've reached into my pocket so many times I've got repetitive injury syndrome (please help me by sending some cash). I can't sleep because of the anxiety of knowing the world is getting shittier by the minute and tomorrow will be worse than today was and everyone but me is slowly dying in squalor and filth...and it's my fault because I'm not aware enough.

    Well, no more.

As of today, right now, I officially don't care. Why? I don't owe you an explanation but I'll tell you anyway. It's because I can't do anything about your cause. All my time, my energy and my wealth goes to my cause...making sure myself and my loved ones don't become one of your causes. I'm taking care of me and mine, and if you do the same, whoever you are and wherever you are, then you won't need any one's help to live your life, and you won't need these incessant armies of beggars screeching at me 24/7 to raise my awareness enough to give a shit about you.

Now that I've confessed my sin and you are feeling all warm and fuzzy because you do care and now you know for sure that you're a better human being than I am, let me fill you in on something. First, I don't care.

Think what you want, say what you want, care about whatever makes you feel guilty, just stop bothering me with it.

Secondly, it's really easy to say you care and and cry your crocodile tears for every poor schmuck and schmuckette who has a hand out, but I know your dirty little secret...you don't really care anymore more than I do. Oh, you'll pretend to care whenever anyone is watching, and say all the right things that you think will make you sound like a caring and compassionate person, a citizen of the world and worthy of everyone's respect. If you can afford it you may even give money and attend charitable events, but you don't do it because you really care. You do it because you want to be loved, appreciated and thought of as noble...better than the other members of your country club, to be showered with honors, acclaim and mention on the society page. It's called competitive altruism. You care more and so obviously are more worthy of, well, everything.

Knock yourself out. I still don't care.

I feel better already...and worse. There's always a price to pay I guess.

    A Complete Failure

Mr. Quarter is reprinting the following excerpts from an article published in Investor's Business Daily today:

February 17 marks the three-year anniversary of the day President Obama signed the stimulus into law. The original estimate for the cost of the stimulus was $787 billion. Now the Congressional Budget Office says that, when all is said and done, it will have cost $825 billion (that is $825,000,000,000).

At the time, Obama claimed that it would "create or save" up to 3.5 million jobs, and that "a new wave of innovation, activity and construction will be unleashed across America." The stimulus, would, he promised""ignite spending by businesses and consumers" and bring "real and lasting change for generations to come."

Here's where various indicators stood in or around February 2009, and where they stand today.

Unemployment rate: The jobless rate is unchanged from February 2009 to January 2012, the latest month for which we have data. Both stood at 8.3%, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Obama's economists had initially predicted that with the stimulus, unemployment would stay below 8%.

Number of long-term unemployed: The number of workers who have been unable to find a job in 27 months or more has shot up 83%, with their ranks now at 5.5 million.

Civilian labor force: It has shrunk by 126,000. In past recoveries, the labor force climbed an average of more than 3 million over comparable time periods.

Labor force participation: The share of adults in the labor force — either looking or working — has dropped 3% — also highly unusual in a recovery. At 63.7%, labor force participation is at a low not seen since the middle of the very deep 1981-82 recession, when fewer women were in the work force. A lower participation rate makes the unemployment rate look better.

Household income: Median annual household income is about 7% below where it was in February 2009, according to the Sentier Research Household Income Index.

National debt: Up $4.5 trillion, or 41%, according to the Treasury Department's monthly reports. The latest Treasury figures put the national debt at $15.4 trillion, larger than the entire U.S. economy.

Deficits: The deficit for fiscal year 2009 totaled $1.4 trillion. The Obama administration's proposed deficit for 2012 is $1.3 trillion, which would mark the fourth year of deficits topping $1 trillion.

Gross Domestic Product: Real GDP has climbed just 6% between Q1 2009 and Q4 2011, according to the Bureau of Economic Analysis. For those that need help with the arithmetic, that is growth averaging just 2% per year

Spending by consumers and businesses: Personal consumption has managed to climb 10% in the past three years, according to the BEA, but companies continue to hoard cash, with cash on hand up 27% since Q1 2009, according to the Federal Reserve Bank.

Perhaps the best measure of the success or failure of the stimulus, however, is the fact that President Obama in his latest budget plan has called for still another round of stimulus spending, this time totaling $350 billion over the next four years, for what is labeled "short-term measures for jobs growth."

Post Script: The budget for Fiscal Year 2010 — the first budget developed by the Obama Administration after taking office in 2009 — projected the federal deficit in fiscal 2012 would be $581 billion, or 3.5% of GDP. Instead, the budget deficit now is expected to be $1,327 billion, or 8.5% of GDP.
