The Deuce Says "Oops"

I should of known. Even Switzerland is having to deal with unhappy Muslims. Don't you love how Col. Gaddafi has gone hip hop, posing in this picture wearing something from Michael Jackson's Captain Crunch line? When was the last time a happy Muslim was sighted besides 9/11?

While we're talking nut jobs, the MSM is seriously developmentally disabled. "The thinking man's thinking man?" Guffaw! Belly laugh! Puke! Did you hear Gore is now a poet? Clearly Gore is a graduate of the Maya Angelou Center of Poetry, Melodrama and Flab. Here's a sample of Al's verse.

One thin September soon
A floating continent disappears
In midnight sun
Vapors rise as
Fever settles on an acid sea
Neptune's bones dissolve
Snow glides from the mountain
Ice fathers floods for a season
A hard rain comes quickly
Then dirt is parched
Kindling is placed in the forest
For the lightning's celebration
Unknown creatures
Take their leave, unmourned
Horsemen ready their stirrups
Passion seeks heroes and friends
The bell of the city
On the hill is rung
The shepherd cries
The hour of choosing has arrived
Here are your tools

My critique? I laughed...I wept...I blew chunks. Gore makes Dr. Seuss look deep.

And finally, more nut jobs provide yet another example of why California is so screwed up. The state is spiraling into bankruptcy, but that's not a big deal! Cussing? Such a violation of human rights is not to be tolerated! Drop an F-bomb and the Governator will come calling to set things right and avert further damage to California's economy, environment, minorities and women.

Watch your back for nut jobs in your neighborhood.

I now return you to reality.

The Deuce and Switzerland

Do you ever wish you were Swiss? Imagine, living in a country mostly untouched by wars, hot or cold. Free of racial unrest; factional politics driven by race, class, age, gender, environmentalism or political ideology; international hatred and jealousy due to imperial conduct; religious strife manifested by never-ending debates about abortion, gender roles, homosexuality, birth control, home schooling...and the list goes on and on.

Compared to America, Switzerland is the Garden of Eden; peaceful, prosperous, beautiful and homogeneous. I want that. I want what the Swiss have.

Every day in America is a fight. It's hard enough just to make a living and keep your family safe, but in America we add to those universal burdens by being constantly at odds with one another. Every day is another day in the Thunder Dome. "Two men enter, one man leaves." We're all in a metaphorical fight to the death, whether we want to be or not. And it's driving many of us crazy.

In America, we have people that believe that the life of a human being is of no more value than the life of a rat ( PETA ); that believe that a human being growing in the womb is either a person or a non-viable mass of tissue and you can choose which ever suits your needs at the moment ( pro choice abortion advocates ); that believe that humans are nothing but a cancer on Gaea the Earth Mother and should be exterminated ( extreme environmentalists ); that eating meat and other animal food products is murder ( PETA again, along with the Hollywood granola crunchers ); and most vitally, that all of humanity can be rendered equal in all respects if only humanity would embrace communism or democratic socialism or anarchism or Scientology or Catholicism or whatever the hell it is that they believe in.

Why is that? Do you ever wonder why America is so smothered in discord? Is there another country on Earth like America? Endless strife, endless conflict and endless rancor; ripping itself apart every hour of every day.

Americans have developed one character trait over the decades that has caused this strife. Americans have lost the ability to mind their own damn business!

What our neighbors do or don't do is somehow our business. What our extended family members do or don't do is somehow our business. What our co-workers do or don't do is somehow our business. What the family across town does or doesn't do is somehow our business. What goes on in the next state over is our business. What people eat or drink or smoke, and where they do it, is somehow our business. Even what people say is our business, to the point where we now outlaw "hate" speech. What people say is just the physical manifestation of what people think, and so with "hate" speech laws we have actually made it illegal to express certain thoughts and beliefs. So much for our vaunted freedom of speech!

Our inability to mind our own business extends to every square inch of the Earth. Is there anywhere that America doesn't have a "strategic national interest?" World War II ended 65 years ago, but we still have dozens of military bases and tens of thousand of military personnel in Europe, Japan and England, at a cost of trillions of dollars. The Korean war ended 57 years ago, and we still have bases and men there. Greenland? We're there. Italy? We're there. Iceland? We're there. Panama, Grenada, Samoa? There, there and there. According to the Department of Defense, we currently have 716 bases in 38 countries. We may not be an empire in the classic sense, in that we don't demand tribute from the nations we have "conquered", but we exert our military authority all over the world. Empire. No wonder we're hated, and envied, by so many.

America is inundated by immigrants, legal and not, every year.

How many are from Switzerland?

Am I Right or Am I Right?

By Mr. Quarter

On December 28, 2009, on this blog I posted what I hoped will be an annual predicition of events to occur over the next year. Well one has come to pass and the other appears to be happening as I write.

I predicted the collapse of the "global warming/climate change consesus" with the prediction that the consensus would be the the climate was indeed changing but that anthropogenic causes would be considered insignificant. As is outlined by Rich Lowery here, the consensus is cracking up.

Second I predicted that China would begin unloading US debt and would be come a net seller of US debt by the end of 2010. This was posted by the Associated Press this afternoon:

"WASHINGTON (AP) -- The government said Tuesday that foreign demand for U.S. Treasury securities fell by the largest amount on record in December with China reducing its holdings by $34.2 billion.

The reductions in holdings, if they continue, could force the government to make higher interest payments at a time that it is running record federal deficits.

The Treasury Department reported that foreign holdings of U.S. Treasury securities fell by $53 billion in December, surpassing the previous record of a $44.5 billion drop in April 2009.

The big drop in China's holdings meant that it lost the top spot in terms of foreign ownership of U.S. Treasuries, dropping to second place behind Japan."

So - I'm takin' a bow. The applause comes from every corner. I want to thank the Academy...

The Deuce and Corruption, American Style

"N.Y. Times readers still in dark about scandal( The dwindling band who depend on The New York Times for their news don't know that their world has changed in some important ways ..."

The New York Times, the Gray Lady, the paper so famous for printing "all the news fit to print", now guilty of slow and grossly inept and incomplete reporting on the recent climategate scandal. Bad enough that supposed scientists have been manipulating data to support their theories; hiding and or destroying their raw data so their work could not be accurately reviewed by their peers; colluding with one another to blackball scientists with opposing theories and prevent critical reviews of their findings from being published in scientific journals. Now we can't even get the supposedly premier American newspaper to report the scandal in a timely and accurate fashion.

Why not? Because the owner and his managing editors are as corrupt as the now exposed scientists. After all, they can't risk telling the truth. Why, that would alienate all their upper east side caviar slurping useful idiots. Can't risk that don't you know? Who's cocktail parties would they go to? Glenn Beck's? Bill O'Reillly's? I have it on good authority that neither Beck or O'Reilly serve caviar at their cocktail parties, and even worse, neither thinks The Glorious Leader is a demi-god. How gouache! The New York Times; all the news that's fit to print, except what they don't want you to know. Not journalists, just propagandists.

Report: John Edwards engaged to mistress (New York Daily News) The disgraced 2008 presidential contender has proposed to his baby-mama, Rielle Hunter, and is even setting her up in a swank $3.5 million beachfront mansion ...

This man ran for president. The fact that he was cheating on his wife during his campaign is despicable, but unfortunately not surprising. What is, to me at least, surprising, is the man's chutzpa. He denied the affair, repeatedly, to every news outlet that would interview him. He lied, lied, and lied some more. When he was forced to admit the affair, he then denied paternity of his mistress's child. He somehow talked an employee of his into claiming he was the father. But the employee was as corrupt as Edwards, spilling the whole sordid affair in, what else, a tell-all book. When Edwards found out about the book about to be published, he admitted he was the father of the child. Edwards lied, lied and lied some more. On national TV! In front of millions of people! He gets caught, and he just plays it off like he got caught taking somebodies lunch out of the break room fridge. What a pathetic weasel.

Security guards stand by as girl brutally attacked(KING-TV, Seattle) Three security guards watched a group of teens punch, kick and rob a 15-year-old girl in the downtown Seattle Metro bus tunnel without intervening ...

Three men stand by and watch as a 15 year old girl is brutally attacked by another teenage girl. They do nothing but get on their radios, apparently to report the on-going assault to the real police. One watches; one turns his back; one walks away. When the assault is over, not one of these three men does so much as to offer aid to the victim. Not just corruption, but cowardice as well. What real man could stand by and watch such a thing and do nothing? A real man couldn't.

Shocker: Obama Suddenly “Agnostic ” About Tax Hikes For Americans Making Less Than $250,000/Year

Okay, it's really not fair for me to include a story about The Glorious Leader when I'm talking about corruption. I mean, come on! This is a Chicago Political Thug we're talking about. Not corrupt? Pa-leaze! BHO makes John Edwards look like a choir boy. Remember when Bush I so infamously said, "Read my lips, no new taxes," and then reneged on that promise less than two years later? Well guess what Sherlock, BHO is about to do the same thing...after stating dozens of times he wouldn't. What a guy! Instead of "Hope and Change" as a campaign slogan, he should of used "Hope, Change and Bullshit. Of course, B.S. is ubiquitous when you're talking about professional politicians, but BHO tosses it around so shamelessly even Bill Clinton is envious.

We don't stand for this crap in our personal lives. Why do we stand for it in our public affairs? Why is the Times still in business? Why does anyone pay the slightest attention to anything John Edwards has to say? Why are gutless cowards hired to provide "security"? Why is in unapologetic radical socialist sitting in the oval office?

It's because too many Americans are just like the people at the New York Times, their heads buried in the sand, afraid of reality; just like Edwards, surrendering to lust and forsaking vows taken in front of God and witnesses; cowards like those security guards, willing to see a teenage girl beaten as long as they didn't have to risk their precious butts; and bullshit artists like Obama, who'll say anything to anybody to get what they want.

If you know people like these, get the hell away from them. Your friend from work who cheats on his wife; your business partner who steals from your customers; your neighbor who beats his wife; your brother who sells meth to kids; your sister who does a little shoplifting to ease her boredom. Stop making excuses for them. Stop pretending you don't know what's going on. Stop being a coward.

Corruption. It's catching. Don't let it catch you.
